22nd Kuwait Ophthalmology Conference: Comprehensive Ophthalmology Updates objective is to provide the latest updates in General Ophthalmology, in addition to other focused specialties such as cornea, glaucoma, uveitis , retina, oculoplasty and neurophthalmology.
The 22nd Kuwait Ophthalmology Conference: Comprehensive Ophthalmology Updates mission is to promote excellence in the management of Ophthalmology patients with various comorbidities and to support health professionals and trainees; to help physicians raise their standards at all healthcare levels and support access to clinical guidance and providing the necessary information for better patient care and health professionals standards.
The scientific committee has prepared an enriching & fully comprehensive program that will be of added value to the attendees. The program will cover keynote sessions for three consecutive days addressing various topics in addition to the diverse educational sessions presented by prominent Arab & International guest speakers.

Dr. Wai-Ching Lam is the Head of the Ophthalmology Department of Vancouver General Hospital, and the Medical Director of Ophthalmology of the University of British Columbia Hospital
He was the clinical professor at University of Hong Kong (2016-2022), the Chief of Service of Ophthalmology Department at the Queen Mary Hospital/Grantham Hospital, and HKU-Shenzhen Hospital.
He has been the Vice Chair of Education (2013-2016), Continuing Education Director (1996-2016), Residency Program Director (2001-2013), and the Vitreo-retinal Fellowship Director (2002-2016) at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Lam is a vitreo-retinal surgeon with clinical interests in adult and pediatric retinal diseases. For his clinical and scientific work, he received the Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Asian Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology, and Fellow and the Senior Honor Award from the American Society of Retinal Specialists.
He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles. He has also authored 7 book chapters, and recently co-edit with Dr Wei-Chi Wu a new book, “A Quick Guide Pediatric Retina”, Springer 2021.

Dr. Al-Dhibi’s clinical research focuses on uveitis and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. AL-Dhibi has authored more than 105 scientific publications and has given more than 200 presentations in different national and international ophthalmology meetings.
Ahmed Al Saadi is a Canadian Board Certified Opthalmologist McGill University. He completed his Cornea & Refractive fellowship from University of Montreal
He graduated from UAEU with Distinction. He is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and the CEO of Zayed Hospital, Abu Dhabi UAE. He is also a Member of The Advisory Board of colleges of Medicine in UAEU, Sharjah University and MBRU. As an educator, he was the Director of Abu Dhabi Ophthalmogy Program , Adjunct Faculty in UAEU and Sharjah University. He is the president of ADORE ( AbuDhabi ophthalmology Review) Conference.
